What makes Music Teacher Pro different
Music Teacher Pro is studio management software built around how music teachers actually work: regional term dates, rotating school timetables, payments that suit the country you teach in, and exam preparation for four boards.
1. Term dates that match your state, region and school
Term dates are not one-size-fits-all. 16 regional calendars are built in:
- Australia (4 terms), New Zealand, United States and Canada
- United Kingdom, France, Italy and Germany
- Israel, Japan, South Korea, China and Vietnam
- Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia
Australia includes state-level detail, for example NSW. Terms are unlimited, not locked to four, and holiday breaks are generated with the terms and editable.
2. Rotating school timetables
Same student, same weekday, a different time each week. The rotation cycles across the term, respects break windows, flags clashes, and produces a printable rotation roster.
3. Payment methods that match the country
Choose which methods you accept: bank transfer, PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash, PayID or your own instructions. Bank details adapt to region, for example BSB and account number in Australia. Card payments and subscriptions run through Stripe.
Outstanding, pending and overdue balances are tracked per invoice, and your payment instructions are shown as tiles on the invoice page and in invoice emails.
4. Four exam boards
AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board), RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music), ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and Trinity (Trinity College London), default per region and set per student, with syllabus progress, pieces and preparation tracked against the board each student is working towards.
5. Solo teacher or multi-teacher school
An operating mode switch moves the app between a solo studio and a multi-teacher school. Both include Google Calendar and Outlook sync, printed and emailed schedules, white-label branding, company billing with ABN, and advanced reporting on larger plans.
6. Optional AI add-on
The AI Lesson Assistant is included on Pro AI and Studio AI with 200 messages a month. It drafts lesson notes, drafts parent summary emails, adds school events after checking clashes, and supports voice-to-text note logging.
7. Who it is for
Private instrumental and vocal teachers, peripatetic teachers across several schools, and small music schools.
8. Pricing and trial
Five plans from US$29 to US$149 a month plus Enterprise, annual saves 17%, and a 21-day free trial with 10 AI interactions. See pricing for the full plan list. The interface is available in 14 languages including Bahasa Indonesia, Basa Bali, Japanese, French, Spanish and Arabic.
How it compares with typical studio software
| What teachers run into elsewhere | How Music Teacher Pro handles it |
|---|---|
| Term dates typed in by hand, or software that assumes four terms a year and one country. | 16 regional calendars built in, with state-level detail in Australia, for example NSW. Unlimited terms, not locked to four, and holiday breaks generated with the terms and editable. |
| A student's lesson sits in the same slot every week, so a rotating school timetable has to be worked out on paper. | Same student, same weekday, a different time each week. The rotation cycles across the term, respects break windows, flags clashes, and produces a printable rotation roster. |
| One set of payment options that does not match how families actually pay in your country. | Choose which methods you accept: bank transfer, PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash, PayID or your own instructions. Bank details adapt to region, for example BSB and account number in Australia. Card payments and subscriptions run through Stripe. |
| Balances chased from a spreadsheet, and payment details written out for every family. | Outstanding, pending and overdue balances tracked per invoice, with payment instructions shown as tiles on the invoice page and in invoice emails. |
| Exam requirements kept in a separate document, or a system that only knows one board. | Four exam boards built in: AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board), RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music), ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and Trinity (Trinity College London), default per region and set per student. |
| A tool built for a single teacher, or an enterprise system that is too heavy for a private teacher or a small music school. | Solo teacher or multi-teacher school: operating mode switch, Google Calendar and Outlook sync, printed and emailed schedules, white-label branding, company billing with ABN, and advanced reporting on larger plans. |
| AI billed as another subscription, disconnected from the notes you write. | An optional AI add-on, included on Pro AI and Studio AI with 200 messages a month: drafts lesson notes, drafts parent summary emails, adds school events after checking clashes, and supports voice-to-text note logging. |
| Prices that only make sense in one currency, in a single language. | Five plans from US$29 to US$149 a month plus Enterprise, annual saves 17%, and a 21-day free trial with 10 AI interactions. The interface is available in 14 languages including Bahasa Indonesia, Basa Bali, Japanese, French, Spanish and Arabic. |
